What we are all about
If you’re a black woman and an architect, you’ve probably noticed the lack of representation African American women get in the field. It can be tough to find opportunities as an architect, and even tougher to become certified. Wouldn’t it be great if there were a resource black women and other POC could use for architectural mentoring and networking? Well, there actually is!
We’re Black Women Architects, and we’re an organization focused on mentoring black women and other POC in becoming architects. We provide guidance, help with certification, and provide networking opportunities! We understand your struggles and have gone through them ourselves. We’re made up of a group of black women architects that are dedicated to helping you! We’ve seen it all when it comes to challenges and lack of opportunity. That’s why we pool our resources together to help the women in our organization. With our help, you can learn the fundamentals of architecture, find help studying for exams, and more! Our members have a vast wealth of experience and knowledge just waiting for you to take advantage of! We’ve got all the necessary expertise and connections to show you the way to a bright future in architecture!
